The house is much quieter these days since we only have Nathan at home with us now, so today I was looking forward to a visit from Joette and her son Michael (he's 2) and my little Jacob. I decided to order pizza for everyone because Nathan and I hadn't eaten all day. About 5:15pm Stephen shows up after work, then around 5:30pm Brandon decides to drop by, and then around 5:45pm Jason shows up with a load of laundry. Everyone was here! Grandpa and I played with the little guys and everyone was grabbing pizza and talking. I love having everyone home. The house was loud, there were toys scattered everywhere and so many people were talking at once that I can't remember a thing that was said, but it was great! And the best thing about it was that no one planned it. It just worked out that way. Now it's 9:40pm and everyone has gone home. Nathan is on his 360 and Joel and I are tired, but blessed. Incredibly blessed! There is no greater joy in this life than spending time with those whom you love most.
Joel is currently involved with the college group at our church. In addition to that, he teaches an adult Sunday School class and is currently going through the book of James.
Sandy is working towards her certification for Biblical Counseling. She is currently counseling women through our church and other means. She is also taking a Rapid Calculations class with Nathan and is able to keep up with the class. She spends most of her time taking care of the home and spending time with the boys. She will take every minute they will give her. She looks forward to her time with Jacob each week and is constantly amazed at how much he reminds her of Stephen.
Stephen is working hard to provide for his son. He is looking forward to starting an apprenticeship program towards his Master Electricians License in January. He loves playing with Jacob but now understands why his mom was always so tired.
Brandon is finishing up his Criminal Justice Degree. His original plans of working for the FBI have been updated and he is considering continuing his education to study Law. He works hard, studies hard, and plays hard.
Jason is transferring to Dallas Baptist University in the fall to work towards a Music Business Degree. He is learning to play the piano while always improving his technique on the drums. He loves playing the drums, doing crazy stunts, snowboarding, and just having a good time.
Nathan is 14. Hard to believe! He played football for the first time this year and went all the way to the District playoffs. He spends most of his free time playing Xbox 360, but will put it down to spend time with any of his brothers.
It's time!! I realize that I tend to be behind the world of technology, but I'm trying to get on board. The creation of the McGregor/Dean Family blog is just one of those attempts. I so appreciate the blogs created by many of my friends that no longer live near by that I decided it would be the fastest and easiest way to keep everyone up to date with the many happenings with us.
